Required Skills:

  • Valid medical license in the state of practice, in good standing
  • Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Proven experience in inpatient rehabilitation or physiatry services
  • Strong understanding of CMS, The Joint Commission standards, and healthcare regulations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in electronic health record documentation and adherence to documentation standards
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Additional certifications in pain management or related fields
  • Experience working in hospital or rehabilitation facility settings
  • Familiarity with telemedicine and electronic medical systems
  • Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting
  • Active medical license with no restrictions or history of disciplinary actions
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a plus
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work scheduled hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with flexibility for night call (5 p.m. to 8 a.m.) and weekend coverage
  • Must complete documentation at the time of each visit
  • Participation in inpatient admissions, rounding, and documentation in compliance with hospital policies
  • Willingness to provide coverage as needed, with potential for additional resources during summer 2026
  • Active license and clean professional history; IMLC acceptance may be considered later
