About the PositionThis is a time-limited position (NS-14). Second-level Specialized Training and Development position accountable for developing and delivering training programs, administering certification requirements, administering assessments, providing technical assistance, and ensuring knowledge transfer. Employees are responsible for short to medium term objectives and outcomes and perform assignments under the general guidance and advice of a more experienced colleague or supervisor. This individual will be part of the Mississippi Department of Human Services Division of Early Childhood Care and Development Quality Support System (QSS) team.
The individual will be responsible for building positive professional relationships with early childhood providers, staff, families, partners, and within communities. In this position, the individual will be responsible for helping early childhood providers/staff understand how they can improve in respective areas to support and foster the development of the children that they serve. The individual will also be performing evaluation of Early Childhood Education (ECE) program curriculum and operation.
Day travel and some overnight travel required.
Experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE), positive attitude, commitment, great communication skills, good public speaking skills, efficient with computer operations such as, but not limited to Microsoft Office programs and Smartsheet, flexibility, good time management skills, great organization and planning skills, ability to use professional and expertise discernment, detailed, open-minded, and team player.
Salary$47,425.15 - $52,167.67 Annually
