We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our growing environmental consulting firm. This executive leadership position will play a key role in guiding the company’s financial strategy, operational growth, and long-term success.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial leadership experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with ownership and department leaders in a dynamic professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Lead and manage the accounting and finance staff
  • Provide oversight and leadership for Human Resources functions and personnel administration
  • Manage and maintain banking and lender relationships
  • Develop financial strategies to support company growth and operational goals
  • Monitor cash flow, profitability, and financial performance metrics
  • Assist with strategic planning, risk management, and operational decision‑making
  • Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements
  • Work closely with ownership and executive leadership on long‑term planning and business initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of financial management, banking relationships, budgeting, and organizational leadership
  • Experience overseeing HR functions and administrative operations is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and strategic thinking
