High Performance Compute (HPC) System Administrator
Onsite role with an expectation to primarily work from an HPE partner/customer office.

Job Description:Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for technical support and leadership in creation and delivery of technology solutions that meet customers’ business needs. Act as a trusted advisor, maintain effective customer relationships, and contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio with technical knowledge and methodologies. Shape technical direction, meet chargeability and revenue goals, and generate new business opportunities.
RoleRequires:
- Top Secret Clearance Required, TS/SCI preferred
- Security+ and Linux+ certification
- On‑site at customer location in Vicksburg, MS
- Some on‑call/weekend work required
- HPC experience
Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams, exercises independent judgment, and may provide team leadership and mentoring.
Responsibilities:- Monitoring and maintaining system health on the HPC system(s) – compute, network, and storage
- Reviewing, resolving and responding to client tickets
- Creating, monitoring and closing all support cases
- Maintaining availability reports for tracking SLA’s
- Planning, scheduling and completing monthly patch upgrades and 6‑month kernel upgrades
- Maintaining the system security posture required by the client
- Assisting the client with app installations
- Troubleshooting and repairing hardware issues
- Tracking/documenting hardware repairs and part cases
- Maintaining the on‑call schedule to support 24×7×2/4 contracts
- Assisting with hardware and system installation activities in new systems
Required:
- 5+ years of Linux System Administration Experience
- Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area; if no degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years total)
- CompTIA Security+ Certification Required
- CompTIA Linux+ Certification Required
- TS Clearance Required
- On‑site 5 days a week with potential on‑call work
- Experience with HPC is required
