THE OPPORTUNITYAt Creo Group, we’re searching for a motivated Material Handler to join our team and play a crucial role in overseeing the material allocation, blending and transference of all color and pelletized plastic materials. This role will also be responsible for preventative maintenance and daily upkeep of all vacuums and blending equipment while working within the performance guidelines regarding safety and quality policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately identify and blend materials to produce a functional recipe blend.
- Correctly program color feeders to measure the correct let-down ratios.
- Ensure the area around all blenders and vacuum pumps is kept clean and free from dust build‑up.
- Clean and replace pump filters and screens on each shift or as needed.
- Keep the area around all blenders and vacuum pumps clean and free from dust build up, blow and replace pump filters and screens as many times as necessary in each shift.
- Understand how to safely operate blender, vacuum pumps, call board controllers, and hopper receivers.
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
- Wear safety glasses and ear plugs upon entering the building.
- Wear Kevlar gloves and Kevlar sleeves on the opposite hand when using a knife.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor (or designee).
- High School degree or GED.
- Must possess basic mathematics skills.
- Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written).
- Ability to understand and follow directions consistently and accurately.
- Must be able to maintain a good attendance record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to sit and/or stand in a stationary position for 40% of a shift.
- Ability to walk, with or without an additional weight load.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders for 20% of a shift.
- Ability to lift and/or carry 40 lbs. over shoulder height.
- Able to pass OSHA required forklift driver test and use a manual pneumatic jack.
