Location:

Weir Esco, Newton, MS | Onsite | Shift: 4/10s, 3rd Shift (Sun‑Wed 7:00pm – 5:15am)

Purpose of Role: The Shotblast Operator is responsible for checking the hardness of castings and ensuring they meet the Manufacturing and Inspection Instructions (MII) requirements. The operator must follow MII and/or work instructions to correctly load parts, quarantine parts that require weld repair, safely load and remove parts manually or with equipment, visually inspect each casting for obvious defects, and separate by pattern and part.

The operator may be asked to perform other jobs within or outside the department.

• Attain LOTO (Lock‑out / Tag‑out) certification.
• Collect PVR data.
• Use hand tools and hoist to move parts weighing up to 1,500 lbs.
• Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero‑harm behaviors to support a world‑class safety culture.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic math and communicate effectively.
• Ability to walk, bend, and stand for 90% of the shift.
