Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Mississippi (or compact license eligible)
• Previous nursing experience in pediatrics, school, or related settings preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to students with acute injuries or illnesses and chronic medical needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and school policy
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to create safe care plans
• Promote a healthy, safe school environment through health education and preventive care
• Respond swiftly to emergencies and follow appropriate crisis intervention protocols
• Screen for health issues and participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed
