Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, on‑site Pest Control Technician role based in Madison, MS. The Pest Control Technician will inspect homes and commercial properties for signs of pests, termites, and related damage, documenting findings and recommending appropriate treatments. The role includes applying pest control products safely and in accordance with regulations, setting traps or monitoring devices, and following up to ensure effective results.
The technician will communicate clearly with customers about inspection results, treatment plans, and preventive measures, while maintaining accurate service records and schedules. Day‑to‑day work also involves operating and maintaining company equipment, driving to customer locations, and following all safety and environmental guidelines.
- Ability to perform thorough property inspections, identify pest activity and infestation signs, and accurately document findings.
- Capacity to learn and apply pest control methods, including termite control, product application, and basic equipment operation and upkeep.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to explain services, treatment plans, and preventive measures in a clear, respectful manner.
- Reliability in managing daily schedules, completing service calls on time, and maintaining accurate work orders and records.
- Comfort with physical work, including walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working in crawl spaces, attics, and outdoor environments.
- Current driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to travel to customer sites throughout the service area.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain any required state pest control licenses or certifications (company training and support may be provided).
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in pest control, home inspection, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
