Accounting Associate

Kforce's client, a long‑standing, New Jersey‑based family office, seeks a talented, hands‑on Accounting Associate. This firm has beautiful, state‑of‑the‑art offices and offers amazing benefits, including a fully stocked kitchen and free gourmet meals daily.

• Work closely with the Controller and Senior Accountant performing a wide variety of functions
• Personal financial accounting for family members
• Bank/brokerage account reconciliations
• Journal entry postings and recording transactions
• Deposit posting, backup accounts payable (coding invoices, resolving discrepancies, printing checks)
• Help prepare annual rent schedules, gift schedules, 1099 reporting, internal financial reporting projects
• Assist with downloading K‑1s, spreadsheet input for tax basis tracking
• Act as  subject‑matter expert for e‑signature documentation
• Create templates, workflows, and additional projects including updating collection of certificates of insurance and downloading capital statements
• Participate in Sage Intacct conversion

• 2+ years of related accounting experience, preferably from a small‑to‑mid‑sized family office or accounting firm
• Solid Excel and Quick Books experience with utmost attention to detail
• Outstanding communication skills, discretion, and integrity
• Experience with  software is a big plus
• Willingness to work in office most days

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
