Adjunct Professor of Sociology – Spring 2026
Salary: $1,150 per credit hour.

Employment type:
Temporary adjunct faculty. Full‑time hours: 3 credit hours per section (two sections).
Location:
Maxwell Becton College of Liberal Arts and Education, Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Teach two sections of Introduction to Sociology beginning Spring 2026. Each section is 3 credit hours and meets Monday–Thursday, Tuesday–Friday, or as a double block on different days, including Wednesday.
Responsibilities- Deliver instructional content and facilitate learning for students in Introduction to Sociology.
- Prepare and grade assignments, examinations, and essays.
- Maintain up‑to‑date teaching materials and stay current with developments in the field of sociology.
- Provide academic support and communication to students throughout the semester.
- Ph.D. in Sociology, or an advanced graduate degree in Sociology, or be an advanced graduate student with significant teaching experience in a university setting.
