Job SummaryFairleigh Dickinson University’s School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is currently seeking adjunct professors to teachgraduate-level courses within the Occupational Therapy Doctorateprogram. The selected candidate will teach courses coveringoccupational therapy concepts, advocacy, healthcare management,pediatric rehabilitation and/or adult rehabilitation. The selected candidate will be responsible for assessing student performance and providing feedback on course assignments. The classes will be held during the Spring, Summer, and Fallsemesters.
Classes meet in-person on weekdays and span acrosseither 12- or 15- week semesters. The overall commitment entailsthree hours of teaching per week, along with availability foroffice hours.
- A doctoral degree in occupational therapy or related major awardedby an institution accredited by a USDE
-recognized regionalaccrediting body. - At least two years clinical experience in the field of OT. Clinical experience in physical rehabilitation, hand therapy,neurorehabilitation, geriatrics, and/or homecare is preferred.
- Initially certified by NBCOT and be eligible for OT Licensure inNew Jersey.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to adapt teaching to variouslearning styles and levels of learners is highly desirable.
- Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizingthe background check and produce a Social Security Card.
