Engineering and Code Compliance Officer – Madison Borough.

The Borough is seeking an experienced and versatile professional to join the Department of Engineering and Land Use. Under the direction of the Borough Engineer, perform and assist with the administration and enforcement of zoning, land use, and code regulations, as well as assist with the development of Engineering projects related to municipal infrastructure. The successful candidate will be able to read and prepare construction plans for bidding, review zoning and land use applications and site plans, conduct site inspections, investigate violations and complaints related to code compliance, prepare clear and accurate reports and correspondence, interpret applicable ordinances, and work with applicants, property owners, professionals, and Borough staff to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Candidates should have three or more years of experience in municipal or county government, working on capital projects and land‑use application reviews. Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Spatial Data Logic (SDL) is preferred.

Salary range is $75,000 to $119,985. Possibility of a $1,500 dollar bonus for a successful job performance review in July of every year.

Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license. Must be 18 years or older.
