GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITYReport to Production Supervisor. Activities within this classification include the inspection of finished machines prior to shipping, which will include some rework to help meet production needs. Day to day personnel activities are assigned by the Production Supervisor. Quality issues/activities shall be directed through the area supervisor.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains a safe work environment; details are dependent upon duties assigned not limited to the following:
Evaluate each machine against published acceptance criteria (PDI Inspection Procedure, paint and weld acceptance criteria, etc.), current quality alerts, or approved deviations and current assembly/subassembly drawings.
Record the condition of machines inspected on the appropriate check list. Return completed checklists to QA on the agreed upon interval.
Provide the appropriate feedback to supervision and/or management concerning product quality.
Where appropriate and as directed, perform minor re‑inspected and accepted, which may include, but not limited to hydraulic, electrical or mechanical work.
Whenever required may be called upon to sound test units to customer requirements and or country/region directives.
EXPERIENCEExperience and knowledge of all model machines built at Madison facility
Strong analytical and reasoning skills required
Must exhibit physical abilities to lift up to 50 lbs, safely
Self starter, team player and have the ability to multitask
EXPERTISEMust be able to read and interpret drawings, standard work instructions, checklists, internal and external deviations, etc
Excellent oral and written communication with all levels of personnel within the plant
Computer skills including knowledge of Google is preferred
EDUCATIONMinimum high school diploma or GED preferred
What does MANITOU Group offer?- Base Pay Range between $24.00 – $25.00 per hour plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
