Job Overview
Report to Production Supervisor. Activities include inspection of finished machines prior to shipping, with possible rework to meet production needs. Day‑to‑day tasks are assigned by the supervisor. Quality issues are directed through the area supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain a safe work environment. Evaluate each machine against acceptance criteria (PDI Inspection Procedure, paint and weld criteria, current quality alerts or approved deviations, and assembly/subassembly drawings).
- Record the condition of machines inspected on the appropriate check‑list and return completed check‑lists to QA on the agreed interval.
- Provide feedback to supervision or management concerning product quality.
- Perform minor rework as directed, including hydraulic, electrical or mechanical work.
- Conduct sound tests on units to meet customer or country/region directives as required.
- Experience and knowledge of all model machines built at Madison facility.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Self‑starter, team player with multitasking ability.
- Read and interpret drawings, standard work instructions, check‑lists, deviations, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication with all levels of personnel.
- Computer skills; knowledge of Google preferred.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
- Base pay $24.00–$25.00 per hour, potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
- Actual pay determined by experience, skills, qualifications and work location.
- Location:
onsite in Madison, South Dakota. - Travel requirements: none.
