Senior Accountant
A specialized financial institution is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and tax filings.
This role offers variety, visibility, and the chance to bring ideas forward in a collaborative environment where employees wear multiple hats and contribute in meaningful ways.
Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Accounting Activities- Post journal entries and general ledger entries
- Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations
- Support overall accounting operations with accuracy and timeliness
- File sales and use tax returns for the institution
- Maintain compliance with state and regulatory requirements
- Prepare weekly reports of selected assets and liabilities
- Assist with financial statement preparation
- Prepare reports related to insured depository solutions
- Ensure adherence to internal bank policies and procedures
- Support audit and compliance activities as needed
- Maintain proper documentation and controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA preferred or interest in pursuing certification
- Background in banking, public accounting, or general business accounting
- Experience in audit or compliance is valuable
