Sr. Accountant needed near McFarland!

Our Madison Robert Half team has partnered on an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant near McFarland. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role involves ensuring accurate financial transactions, assisting with research and analysis, and supporting month and year-end. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a full understanding of the accounting process. A CPA designation is preferred as well as experience within the manufacturing industry!

Responsibilities:

+ Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, completing general ledger reconciliations, and coordinating across finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting

+ Perform account analysis and review financial statements, identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and improve reporting accuracy

+ Manage fixed asset accounting, including construction-in-progress oversight and support for international financial operations

+ Support external audits by preparing schedules, organizing documentation, and ensuring timely completion of audit requirements

+ Drive accounting process improvements, support budgeting and variance analysis, and serve as a key resource for ERP, reporting, and finance-related projects

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

+ CPA preferred

+ 3-5 years of general accounting experience, strong GAAP

+ Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills

+ Leadership capabilities and collaborative spirit

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, experience with SAP and Oracle a highlight
