Senior Cost Accountant

CFS is engaged with a leading manufacturer located in Madison looking for a Senior Cost Accountant.

• Responsible for leading the costing function through regular review and setup of standard costs
• Executing the monthly close activities consistent with current schedules – includes journal entries, reserve analyses, SOX, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including standard cost maintenance, cycle counting, physical inventories, accounting for obsolete and out-of-spec inventory
• Check and clear data on labor and materials costs burden and expense items, inventory, and profit and loss adjustments.
• Develop and measure estimate versus standard and actual profitability
• Develop measurements and report Key Performance Indicators
• Distribute costs between the various divisions of management and production.
• Classify production costs into wages, material and overhead.
• Support month-end and year-end general ledger close and financial reporting

• Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance is required
• Publicly traded experience is a plus (SOX)
• Cost Accounting knowledge
• Manufacturing: 2+ years
• ERP Software experience; SAP, Hyperion, Business Intelligence
• MBA / CMA / CPA Preferred

Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 Base + Bonus
