• Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing guidance on day‑to‑day work
• Take ownership of key components of the month‑end close, including preparation and review of financial statements
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support job costing and project accounting efforts, partnering closely with operations
• Oversee sales and use tax compliance, including review and approval of filings
• Act as a go‑to resource for both routine and more complex accounting issues
• Support the Controller by taking ownership of areas currently escalated to leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of experience preferably in the construction industry
• Union environment exposure is a significant plus
• Strong understanding of month‑end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations

Salary: $90,000 to $115,000
