Connect Search is partnering with a well-established organization in the Greater Madison area to hire a Senior Accountant. This role is responsible for supporting full-cycle accounting activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes while also driving process improvements and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong exposure to systems and reporting.

Location:
Middleton, WI – Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 remote)
Schedule:
Monday–Friday | Core hours 8:0 AM – 5:00 PM
Bonus: discretionary bonus
Software:
Sage 100, MS Office Suite
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close support
- Conduct GL reviews, variance analysis, and assist with budget preparation
- Maintain and enhance financial reporting tools and system outputs
- Research and resolve complex accounting discrepancies and system variances
- Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and cross-functional reporting needs
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
