Audit Experienced Associate - Energy & Utilities

Overview

Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm with a global presence in key U.S. financial centers. The firm offers professional services through an alternative practice structure in accordance with AICPA standards and is part of Baker Tilly International.

• Provide assurance and consulting services to industry‑specific middle‑market clients as a trusted member of the engagement team.
• Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to gather information and respond to questions raised.
• Perform substantive testing on clients’ balance sheets and income statements.
• Test for deficiencies of internal controls and discuss recommendations for improvement.
• Learn and grow through on‑the‑job coaching, mentoring, and firm‑wide learning and development programs.
• Network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an undergraduate degree with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA exam (CPA preferred or actively pursuing the exam).
• One or more years of experience providing financial statement auditing services within a public accounting firm.
• Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal and relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
• Strong organizational, analytical skills and initiative, with adaptability.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• No immigration sponsorship currently available.
