Bookkeeper

Robert Half Madison is seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper with 2+ years of experience to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Quick Books Desktop and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations. This is an onsite position but after training, could have some opportunity for a more consistent remote/hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment application, and collections support.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity to support cash flow tracking.
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare regulatory and other financial reports as required.
• Support audit requests by preparing documentation and reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as needed.
