Position Summary- Role: Lead strategy and oversight for the firm’s most complex tax engagements, including high‑net‑worth individuals, multi‑entity businesses, and cross‑jurisdictional structures.
- Serve as a key advisor on tax planning, transaction structuring, succession planning, and long‑term tax minimization.
- Oversee the review of highly complex tax returns, ensuring technical accuracy, alignment with client goals, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Guide engagement strategy development and execution, coordinating with internal specialists and external advisors.
- Lead technical research, distilling insights into practical guidance for clients and the firm.
- Provide technical leadership on emerging tax matters, regulatory changes and industry‑specific developments.
- Drive continuous improvement in tax processes, documentation standards, and quality control.
- Coach and mentor managers and senior associates through goal‑setting, feedback and performance reviews.
- Build deep, trusted client relationships, becoming a strategic partner.
- Collaborate across service lines to provide integrated, value‑added solutions.
- Contribute to business development, including client pitches, proposal development and pricing strategies.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences and networking forums.
- Promote continuous learning, lead internal trainings and support certification efforts.
- Oversee resource allocation and engagement planning for optimal productivity, profitability and client satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by firm leadership.
- Meet annual billable hour and other performance targets.
- 8+ years of experience in tax preparation.
- CPA license or eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Deep expertise in federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Proven ability to deliver strategic tax planning including entity structuring, succession planning, and transaction advisory.
- Advanced proficiency with tax compliance software and research tools.
- Experience leading and coaching multi‑level teams.
- Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex tax concepts.
- Strong business acumen and alignment of tax strategy with client objectives and firm growth initiatives.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- High attention to detail with global perspective.
- Analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
