Overview
Staff Accountant

- Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate and timely financial reporting
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, ensuring balances are complete and accurate
- Analyze accounting activity and identify potential issues before they become problems
- Review outstanding balances, validate supporting information, and ensure compliance with state reporting requirements
- Support month-end close activities and assist with various accounting and reporting projects
- Partner with operations and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial data and proper documentation
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate accounting environment
- Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and investigate root causes
- Understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
