Job Summary: This position will serve as the Assistant Coordinator for the National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) at the Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene (WSLH)/University of Wisconsin Madison. The Assistant Coordinator will be responsible for managing the operational, administrative, and outreach activities that support NADP’s mission to monitor and assess atmospheric deposition across North America. They will coordinate site management, data dissemination, external communications, and staff supervision;
serve as the primary backup to the NADP Coordinator for presentations, reports, and other project deliverables; and maintain effective relationships with federal, state, tribal, and academic partners. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders. Quality management principles will guide daily work, including exceptional customer service, constructive feedback, team collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Direct operational activities (20%): Coordinate day-to-day operational, Program Office (PO), and NADP Analytical Lab (NAL) administrative duties, manage site documentation, maintain accurate records in databases, oversee site management processes, and collaborate with PO and field personnel on quality assurance and site surveys.
- Develop and implement processes (20%): Create and maintain standard operating procedures for site management and communications, expand NADP Google Sheet trackers, prepare and distribute site status reports to executive and budget committees, assist with program reviews and audits, and represent NADP in key field operation partner meetings.
- Facilitate meetings, trainings, and workshops (20%): Plan and coordinate NADP meeting logistics, including the annual Spring Scientific Symposium; manage subcommittee meetings; and run internal NADP manager meetings.
- Oversee digital communication and systems information (20%): Administer NADP listservs, serve as DoIT contact for website operations, produce annual NADP calendar and summary report, oversee social media accounts, and coordinate award recognition programs.
- Exercise supervisory authority (20%): Conduct performance reviews, approve leave requests, manage staff schedules, mentor support staff, and ensure training of new NADP staff in coordination with the NADP Coordinator.

Compensation$80,000/year minimum (depending on qualifications)
