Job Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology welcomes applications for the position of GME Program Coordinator. As a vital member of the department's education team, the GME Program Coordinator contributes to the development and implementation of the administrative activities of the residency program to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements. The coordinator works independently under the guidance of the GME Program Administrator and the Program Director, managing workflow components of the administrative and professional responsibilities for the program's residents and serving as a liaison among residents, faculty, and affiliated teaching sites.

This position will require some work to be performed in‑person at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely at an off‑site, non‑campus location.
Key Job Responsibilities- Maintains a thorough understanding of accreditation program requirements, regulatory requirements, hospital and program policies to ensure accreditation and compliance with regulatory bodies and pertinent policies.
- Contributes to the design, development, and implementation of curriculum and evaluations. Schedules evaluations and teaching sessions, and creates and maintains the rotation and call schedules.
- Manages workflow components of HR lifecycle functions from recruitment through alumni for residents/fellows.
- Serves as a member of the education team and as the primary contact for the program, liaising with the Institutional GME Office and regulatory agencies, and advises residents/fellows of program/institutional policies and procedures.
- Participates in professional opportunities presented by the Institutional GME Office for orientation and annually through the GME retreat, the Program Coordinator Subcommittee, and other opportunities within UW Health and UW‑Madison.
- Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves discrepancies, and processes and tracks resident/fellow and program expenditures and provides reports to department and Institutional GME Office as requested.

Compensation- Starting salary: $63,000 annually (negotiable based on experience and qualifications).

- Two years' experience in educational administration or office administration.
- Experience in an academic health care setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
