WiCell, a leading non-profit stem cell services institute and supporting organization of UW–Madison, seeks a Student Lab Assistant to join our collaborative team and help uphold the reputation of quality and excellence for which we are known. This Lab Assistant will prepare materials and paperwork; maintain inventory, equipment, and reagents; and assist with additional lab and administrative activities. Work will be performed in a typical laboratory and office environment. We offer flexible schedules for students and are looking for a commitment during the academic year of 10-15 hours per week (M-F during normal business hours). We are interested in students who can start this summer and continue through academic year 26-27 and beyond if WiCell has the need and it works with the student’s schedule.
There is a possibility of increasing weekly hours during the summer and school breaks based on business needs.
Applicants must be current undergraduate students. One year of laboratory experience is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to prioritize work on multiple assignments; follow established policies and procedures to complete tasks; maintain a high level of confidentiality; and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, reliability, and responsibility.
