! This position is responsible for the administration of the Title & Registration Processing Section including central office vehicle titling and registration programs for the State of Wisconsin. The Title and Registration Processing section is responsible for the original issuance and renewal of vehicle registrations and the issuance of certificates of title.
This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison, WI at least 2 days per week. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are generally expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview.

Position SummaryIn this critical role, you will be responsible for administration of the Personalized and Specialized License Plate Programs, the Telephone Authorization System, Traffic Violation and Registration Program, Tribal registration/titling program, Intra-state trucking registration program, and issuance of Special Identification Cards and plates for Disabled parking. You will work closely with other sections, bureaus, divisions and external partners to provide revenues and registration/titling policies, products and services for the administration of their programs.
You will act as an extension of the division to enhance teamwork, communication, consistency and program integration across the state and will advise the bureau director, division and department administration and legislative parties on all titling and registration program issues and activities.
The work performed affects a wide range of Division of Motor Vehicles activities and services such as the accurate and timely issuance of approximately one million certificates of title and associated registration annually, the renewal of registration of approximately three million vehicles annually, issuance of personalized and special plates and identification cards and plates for disabled persons, and the collection of $110 million annually.
The work performed also affects the legislation, laws, procedures, administrative rules, and policies of the Division.
This position is in schedule-range (81-02) with an annual salary of $91,520 - $113,318, plus excellent benefits
. A 2-year career executive trial period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
