Job SummaryThe Department of Urology is looking for an Administrative Supervisor. This is a key administrative leadership position supporting programs and faculty in the Department of Urology. Our nationally recognized department advances the health of Wisconsin and beyond through our research, educational programs, and state-of-the-art clinical treatments for urologic cancers and benign urologic conditions that significantly impact quality-of-life.
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
Key Job Responsibilities- Performs administrative tasks including telephone customer service, word processing, transcribing, filing, and calendaring
- Acts as the primary liaison for providers or programs and refers stakeholders to providers, agencies, patients, and staff
- Schedules logistics and secures or distributes resources for program meetings, department events, conferences, and travel
- Assists in coordinating the complex daily activities of providers or program(s) by entering information into databases, maintaining files and materials, and preparing reports
- Serves as the primary contact and subject matter expert for specified program policies and procedures
- Coordinates with senior management to define program goals and fiscal objectives
- Identifies opportunities for program improvements and makes recommendations to the appropriate entities
- Assists in coordinating the complex daily activities of faculty
- Schedules logistics and secures or distributes resources for program meetings, department events, conferences, and travel

Since the 1920s, the Urology Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health has had the tradition of providing technologically advanced urologic care for the people of Wisconsin and beyond. Today, we retain the principles of the past and have moved our efforts toward providing state-of-the-art urologic care for present and future generations.
Our highly acclaimed program focuses on cutting-edge surgical care for adult and pediatric urologic patients while conducting innovative research and training the next generation of academic urologists. Our Department consists of all major subspecialties, including Urologic Oncology, Endourology, Men’s Health, Pediatric Urology, Women’s Pelvic Wellness, Andrology/Infertility, and Urinary Reconstruction programs.
CompensationThe starting salary for the position is $60,000 annually; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications- Strong computer proficiency including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Minimum of two years administrative experience within an academic medical center
- Accuracy, ability to manage multiple projects, and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong customer service and ability to effectively collaborate with wide range of stakeholders
- The ability to maintain compliance and confidentiality while exercising good decision making
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
