Entry Level Automotive Technician - Madison, WI

Position

Entry Level Automotive Technician at Goodyear Auto Service Center.

Starting Pay: $15.00–$20.00 per hour (base pay may vary based on experience, knowledge, and market location).

Must be able to work retail hours including holidays and weekends; stores may be open 7 days a week.

• Perform basic automotive services such as mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, filter replacements, and other preventive maintenance.
• Assist senior technicians to learn advanced automotive services.
• Provide clear communication and feedback to guests about vehicle service.
• Promote teamwork to meet guest expectations.
• Follow company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform manual tasks including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information; identify problems; make decisions.
• Commitment to learning new technologies in the automotive industry.
• Commitment to following safety policies and procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous automotive preventive maintenance experience or formal automotive training.

• How to complete basic automotive services like mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, filter replacements, and more.
• Train with mid and senior level automotive technicians to learn additional automotive services.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
• Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations.
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
