Position Summary

Lead Technician – responsible for diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, leading and mentoring a service team to improve customer satisfaction.

Sign‑On Bonus: 2,000 USD (1st‑time hires only). Pay Range: $24.10 – $48.16 per hour.

Technicians earn a flat‑rate compensation model that rewards each eligible task, fostering efficiency and ensuring fair reward for expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems to specifications, including brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
  • Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to non‑mechanical customers.
  • Maintain current knowledge of automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • Assist and train technicians/mechanics in technical activities.
  • Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment (company pays test fees; bonus for each test passed).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.
  • Skilled in brake diagnosis/repair.
  • Skilled in alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair.
  • Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
  • Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.
  • Reading, writing and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems, engine repair, engine performance, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drivetrain/transmission, or automotive heating/AC.
  • Five years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated by third‑party assessments or completion of a vocational‑technical school program.
  • A.S.E. certification in at least three of A1–A8 (L1 can be one of the three – Brakes and Steering & Suspension A.S.E.s preferred).
