Overview

ProAGtive Dairy Nutrition is a growing dairy nutrition organization operating under ProAGtive Technologies. The company partners with progressive dairy producers through a consultant-based model focused on performance-driven nutrition strategies, integrity, and long-term client relationships. ProAGtive operates with a lateral, entrepreneurial structure that empowers individuals to drive outcomes while maintaining a strong customer-first mindset.

This is a newly created leadership role focused on business growth. The Business Development Manager will expand ProAGtive’s consultant network, strengthen producer and industry relationships, and accelerate growth across Wisconsin and surrounding boundary markets. For the right individual, this role may be structured as a hybrid seat—combining business development leadership with hands-on consulting—particularly for candidates who bring an existing book of business.

• Lead recruitment and growth of the dairy nutrition consultant network (primary focus)
• Build and leverage trusted relationships to gain access to producers and industry partners
• Support consultants with business planning, prospecting strategy, and sales dialogue coaching
• Help establish practical operating rhythms and growth frameworks across 1099 and W2 models
• Represent ProAGtive Dairy Nutrition with credibility and professionalism across the industry
• Learn and align to ProAGtive’s nutrition philosophy while adapting prior experience to the culture

During the first year, success will be measured by momentum in consultant recruiting, expanded access to producers through networking, and sustainable business growth. The Business Development Manager will help accelerate consultant onboarding timelines, strengthen key industry relationships, and reinforce ProAGtive’s reputation for customer performance and integrity.

• 5+ years of dairy nutrition experience with strong industry credibility
• Demonstrated success in relationship-based growth (consulting, sales, or business development)
• Ability to build and activate professional networks; resilience with rejection
• Leadership through influence in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Preferred:
  • Team-building or leadership experience
  • Advanced degree
  • Comfort with proactive outreach and network expansion

This role is primarily field-based. Wisconsin is the core market, with expansion into Northeast Iowa and Northern Illinois as needed. Travel is expected approximately four days per week, with one day reserved for planning and administrative work. Most travel consists of day trips, though occasional overnight travel may be required. Mileage is reimbursed; the individual uses their own vehicle.

Compensation is competitive and structured around the individual’s experience, industry knowledge, and existing relationships. ProAGtive is flexible in building a package that aligns with what it takes to secure the right person and may include sign-on support.
