Recreation Program Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Member Services Professional Intern is responsible for assisting the Member Services department with day-to-day operations of the Rec Well facilities. This is a limited term position under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director & Coordinators of Member Services. This individual will gain valuable recreation and leadership experience by having active involvement in enhancing the member experience, recruitment and retention initiatives, rental equipment and merchandise management, campus recreation software, scheduling, budgeting, and data analysis.

* Assist in the management of all aspects of Member Services, including staffing/payroll, locker rentals, tours, and membership sales.

* Oversight of Member Service forms and recurring membership cancellations, which includes all member inquiries and concerns.

* Assist with the overall management of comprehensive campus recreation software, Fusion.

* Participate in member recruitment fairs, presentations, and initiatives.

* Assist with establishing and implementing short- and long-term goals, strategic initiatives, policies, operating procedures, and assessments related to member services.

* Assist in planning and support of upcoming Member Services trainings.

Key

Job Responsibilities:

* Develops targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals

* Engages in the Rec Well professional internship development curriculum, all staff meetings, divisional committees, and other professional development responsibilities and opportunities.

* Coordinates logistics for events and programs

* Prepares and monitors budgets and purchases expenditures as needed

* Assists in implementing the staffing resource allocation plan including hiring, training, and supervision

* Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised operational policies and procedures

Compensation:

$22.50/Hour

Work Schedule:

Standard Office Hours include Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Flexibility around shift coverage, training, and meeting dates.

Summer Internship Program Information:

* Internships are limited-time employments lasting 400 total hours

* Internship dates are approximate and will run June 2026 to August 2026

Education:

* HS Diploma - Required

* Bachelor's Degree - Achieve or advancing towards Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
