Job Summary
The Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team. This position will be responsible for coordinating multiple activities critical to the Center’s operations, including overseeing the ADRC Resource Request Process, managing logistics for key ADRC activities, contributing project support to the ADRC Quality Improvement and Compliance Managers, and providing scheduling and office management support.
The ADRC Operations Coordinator is an academic staff position in the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at UW‑Madison. The ADRC is a highly successful National Institutes of Health funded research center focused on improving early detection of Alzheimer’s disease, identifying risk and protective factors, and understanding the disease process. This position will report to the ADRC Quality Improvement Manager and will work with a variety of leaders and staff in the ADRC.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to collaborate effectively, and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables. At this time, we are hiring the position at 0.5 FTE, with a potential opportunity to increase in the future.
- Oversee the ADRC Resource Request Process, including triaging new requests, gathering feasibility information, preparing presentations, and ushering requests through the approval and fulfillment process.
- Manage logistics for key ADRC activities, including facilitation of the development of high‑quality reports and presentations for leadership and coordinating meeting logistics such as travel arrangements.
- Provide project support to the ADRC Quality Improvement and Compliance Managers.
- Provide scheduling and office management support, including ordering supplies, coordinating with Campus Facilities teams, and distributing mail.
- Establish, monitor, coordinate, and control project budgets versus actual expenditures and budget reporting.
- Manage the ADRC calendar, including leadership and project meetings.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain operational standards and systems to support project teams.
- Develop, schedule, coordinate, and prioritize project work plans in accordance with specifications and resource limitations.
- Analyze data and trends, compile progress reports, and provide appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for the project(s), serve on committees, and attend meetings representing the interests of the project(s).

- At least 1 year of cumulative working experience (including internships, student positions, professional positions).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in research environments.
- Experience working with physicians, faculty, or other leadership positions.
- Experience coordinating, leading, or participating in formal projects.
- Experience creating professional deliverables including high‑quality presentations, SOPs, process maps, and proposals.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
CompensationThe starting salary for the position is $54,000 annually; it is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
