Job Title Communications Specialist - Limited Term Employment (LTE)

The Wisconsin DOT has a Communications Specialist limited term employment (LTE) opportunity in the Division of Transportation System Development, Southwest Region! This role will assist in developing, writing, editing, and producing electronic and print communications related to region projects and internal operations.

This LTE position is located in Madison, WI
.

This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Southwest Region Madison Office. Eligible employees may work remotely up to 60 percent of their schedule. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are still expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview.

Position Summary

This position provides support in the execution of the Region Communications Program, including the development, writing, editing, and production of electronic and print communications. This position will function under close direction of the Regional Communications Managers (RCM).

This position will be responsible for performing the following duties:

Write, edit, design and coordinate public information documents for DTSD projects. Consult with project staff and review all project-information publications that will be distributed to external groups.

Perform regional internal communications activities such as photographic support, creating digital filing systems, and preparing award submittals.

Perform other writing and editing functions to support the RCM.
