Big Oak is Young Star rated 5 out of 5 stars, state licensed and city accredited. We are seeking loving and professional people to join our talented team. As a Float Teacher, your daily schedule would be flexible between the hours of 7am and 5:30pm.
The Float moves around from room to room helping as needed. Floats are assistants in the rooms, and engage at the child's level, while also assisting the teacher with their needs.

Duties- Model and promote the mission, vision, and philosophy and values
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers, lead teacher and program coordinator
- Be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Engage children at eye-level, play, and work one-on-one with children
- Facilitate conflict resolution on a developmentally appropriate level
- Acknowledge, respect, and meet children and family's individual needs
- Utilize developmentally appropriate classroom expectations and behavior modification strategies
- Communicate with parents/guardians on a daily basis
- Supervise the health and safety of the children
- Maintain constant supervision of the children in care
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Have taken or willing to complete the Introduction to Childcare Coursework
