The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Project Manager for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Madison, WI
.
We are looking for an experienced, highly organized Construction Project Manager to lead a multi-phase project from initiation through closeout. This role is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, managing subcontractors, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with rigorous quality and safety standards.
Position Details- Title: Construction Project Manager
- Location: Madison, WI
- Duration: 9 months (possible extension/conversion based on performance and budget)
- Hourly Rate on W2: $60-$67/hr (depending on experience)
- Project Planning:
Define project scope, deliverables, and specifications; prepare construction estimates; and manage budgets. - Scheduling & Logistics:
Develop detailed construction schedules with milestones and coordinate the movement of resources, materials, and heavy equipment. - Contract Management:
Prepare bids, negotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontractors, and manage change orders. - Compliance & Permitting:
Secure and issue required permits and ensure all work complies with local, state, 29 CFR 1926 OHSA regulations and national building codes as well as environmental regulations. - Safety & Quality Control:
Enforce safety procedures, conduct safety inspections, maintain OSHA standards across contractors, and oversee quality assurance and quality control programs.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 4+ years of construction project management experience.
- Hands‑on experience issuing/managing construction permits (hot work, surface penetration, work at heights, confined space, etc.) with strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction safety regulations.
- Ability to read construction drawings/blueprints and manage projects from planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contractor coordination through completion.
- Experience coordinating daily activities between general contractors, subcontractors, clients, landlords, and city/municipal officials.
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills with experience using construction/project management software.
