The Role:As an APEX Construction Project Leader, you’ll provide construction engineering and inspection services on highway, roadway, bridge and other various infrastructure projects across southern Wisconsin. You’ll be part of a tight-knit, growth-oriented team where your contributions are visible, valued, and rewarded. We offer the autonomy of a small firm with the expertise of a well-established one.

Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) License
- 10+ years of experience managing roadway/highway, bridge, or general civil construction projects
- Extensive experience with WisDOT and other Wisconsin agency standards
- Ability to independently lead multidisciplinary project teams
- Ability to drive to/from project locations in southern Wisconsin
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- WisDOT HTCP Certifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 hour training
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Micro Station, Civil3D and/or AutoCAD
- Lead and manage WisDOT roadway and bridge construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Ensure projects meet design standards and comply with all contract documents, specifications, and regulations
- Manage and oversee project staff, including subconsultants and inspectors
- Conduct field inspections and assist with thorough documentation
- Prepare contractor pay estimates and construction progress reports
- Perform constructability reviews and flag risks before they happen
- Coordinate project schedules, track budgets, and manage change orders
- Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Lead or participate in progress meetings and issue resolution
