Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Heavy Civil Superintendent is responsible for managing site operations, project scheduling, overseeing equipment, and maintaining safety and quality of work. Manage daily heavy civil construction operations including earthwork, utilities, grading, and site development. Lead employees on proper safety procedures and enforce compliance with OSHA and company standards. Partner with the Operations Manager and HR on employee relations.

Coordinate equipment and pre-job planning to ensure appropriate resource allocation on the job site. Confirm foreman reported installed quantities hours from timecards. Troubleshoot and resolve field construction issues in collaboration with Project Management to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Possess a strong understanding of plans, specifications, and standard practices for heavy civil work. Foster relationships with Owners, General Contractors and Subcontractors Assist in the training of foremen and field crew personnel.

Collaborate with Project Managers on scheduling, cost control, and change order documentation.

• Self-directed and motivated; able to manage multiple projects.
• Prior experience as a Foreman or Superintendent preferably on heavy civil projects
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, underground utilities, grading, and site construction operations
• Strong knowledge of heavy civil equipment.
• Preferred the knowledge and previous use of
• Excellent verbal and written communication, conflict management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
• Trustworthy and discreet with confidential information
