Position Summary

The Digital Imaging Specialist will have responsibilities that include photographing and imaging a wide range of collection materials in compliance with professional standards, creating and quality‑controlling metadata, preparing files for long‑term preservation and access, and supporting online and educational use of digital assets.

Salary Information

The salary will be between $30.15 - $35.00 per hour plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current or former state employees may vary according to the applicable pay provisions found in the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. This position is in pay schedule 07, range 34. The classification is IS Business Automation Senior. A 12‑month probationary period will be required.

Job Details

Qualifications

Minimally Qualified Candidate Will Have Experience In The Following
  • Working with archival materials in libraries, archives, museums, or cultural heritage institutions
  • Digital imaging standards such as FADGI, ISO 19264, and color management workflows
  • Working with metadata standards and digital asset management systems
Additional Experience
  • Experience maintaining workflows in a production‑level digitization environment
  • Familiarity with audiovisual digitization workflows
