Position: Motion Graphics Designer, Shopbop

We’re looking for a Motion Graphics Designer to join the Creative Content team to bring our brand to life through dynamic animation, video, and design. This role blends craft, concept, and speed—balancing strong aesthetics with a deep understanding of performance-driven content. You will create best-in-class motion work that elevates our visual language across brand, editorial, and social channels.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, collaborative, and hands-on—equally comfortable concepting storyboards, designing frames, and executing final animation. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects at once, and are energized by experimenting with new formats and trends.

Key job responsibilities
  • Create visually engaging motion graphics, animations, and video content across brand, social, editorial, and performance channels
  • Concept, storyboard, design, and animate projects that align with brand guidelines and business objectives
  • Collaborate closely with creative directors, designers, producers, and marketers to define goals and deliver innovative solutions
  • Edit and animate using After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, and Adobe Creative Suite tools
  • Incorporate typography, visual effects, color grading, sound design, and finishing techniques to elevate storytelling
  • Adapt and optimize assets across multiple formats, aspect ratios, and platforms
  • Work with existing footage and imagery to create reactive or quick-turn content; capture original footage when needed
  • Research and apply social and industry trends to ensure work feels fresh, modern, and culturally relevant
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high bar for quality
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback and performance insights to continuously improve creative output
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of design experience
  • Have an available online portfolio
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
  • Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices
  • Experience in a creative role understanding consumer trends and creating content
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
  • Experience with Cinema 4D or other 3D tools
  • Strong understanding of social-first and performance-driven creative
  • Experience shooting or capturing original content
  • Curiosity for emerging trends, tools, and storytelling formats
  • High attention to detail and a consistently elevated aesthetic bar
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
