Bilingual, Customer Service Rep
The Dane County Henry Vilas Zoo has two (2) limited term vacancies for an LTE Carousel and Train Attendant, in Madison, WI.
Limited Term Employees (LTEs) are limited to 1,200 hours in a payroll year and are not guaranteed any hours per week.

Under the direction of the Zoo's General Operations Manager, the LTE Carousel & Train Attendant operates the Zoo’s carousel and train. Leads volunteers and performs a variety of customer service-related duties. Ensures the safety of all guests riding the carousel and train.
Examples of DutiesReceives payments and fees and makes correct change. Operates the carousel and the train including the safe boarding and off-boarding of passengers, and the riding of passengers. Conducts list of safety checks on train and carousel and inspects equipment to determine wear and tear. Performs cleaning tasks in carousel building. Work the front desk in Guest service building. Customer service duties include answering phone calls, responding to guest emails, resolving problems, communicating, assisting, coordinating and interacting positively and professionally with guests, customers, suppliers, volunteers and employees.
Education,Training and
Experience:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and track several tasks simultaneously. One (1) year of customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Special Requirements :Must be able to assist in any emergencies under direction of the assigned Duty Manager or Animal Care Manager. Must be available for work on week days and weekends, and scheduled events occurring during zoo hours and after hours. Must have a valid driver’s license, or access to reliable personal transportation, or equivalent. Also refer to the “Physical and Environmental Work Requirements” section below.
