The hygiene assistant supports dental hygienists and the clinical team by helping maintain efficient patient flow, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, supporting infection control standards, and creating a positive patient experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and wants to grow within the dental field.

What you would do:

• Prepare and clean treatment rooms between patients

• Escort patients to hygiene appointments

• Assist hygienists with charting and patient flow

• Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA and infection control standards

• Stock supplies and maintain organized operatories

• Support patient comfort and provide excellent customer service

• Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams

• Assist with clinic opening and closing duties

What we would like:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous dental or healthcare experience preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to learn and grow within the organization

Physical requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday

• Ability to bend, reach, twist, and move quickly between operatories

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

• Manual dexterity required for handling dental instruments and equipment

• Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to cleaning agents, dental materials, and clinical sounds

• Ability to maintain focus and professionalism in a fast-paced patient care environment
