Contract Interior Designer – Multifamily Clubhouse & Outdoor Spaces

Location: Madison, WI (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: Fixed-term

Compensation: Flat project fee

We are seeking an experienced designer to support the final design and furnishing of Illuminate Luxury Residences, a brand-new luxury multifamily community in Madison, WI. This contract role focuses on delivering cohesive, functional, and cost-effective design solutions for the clubhouse interior, outdoor plaza and balcony space.

• Develop a full furniture plan for the clubhouse, including lounge areas, co-working spaces, and a game room
• Determine paint colors, wall coverings, finishes, and materials
• Curate and install artwork, décor, and styling elements to complete the space
• Provide a cohesive design package with specifications, mood boards, and sourcing details
• Create a layout and furniture plan for the outdoor plaza and second floor balcony
• Ensure selections meet durability, maintenance, and budget requirements
• Provide sourcing recommendations and installation guidance
• Concept boards and design direction
• Furniture and materials specifications
• Floor plans and layout diagrams (PDF or CAD preferred)
• Finalized selections with vendor links, pricing, and lead times
• Installation of furniture, artwork, décor, and other accessories

• Experience in multifamily, hospitality, or commercial interior design
• Strong understanding of FF&E sourcing, durability standards, and budget-conscious design
• Ability to work independently and deliver a complete design package within a defined timeline
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Sketch Up, AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign, or similar)
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant interior design work
