Position: Web Design Lead (Volunteer)

Conversa Corps is launching Collab Ops (Collaborative Operations) Academy to professionalize crisis coordination across the humanitarian sector—and we’re looking for a VOLUNTEER skilled Web Designer to help bring this vision to life online.

This role goes beyond maintaining a website. As part of our founding digital team, you will shape the digital experience of our learning platform and public presence, ensuring it is intuitive, accessible, technically sound, and engaging for aid workers operating in high‑stakes environments.

If you are passionate about purposeful, mission‑driven design and want your work to amplify impact across dozens of humanitarian organizations, this is your opportunity to help “the helpers” connect, learn, and coordinate more effectively when lives are on the line.

Company Overview

Conversa Corps’ mission is to help those who help humanity and life on earth during crisis, disasters and emergencies work better together by improving coordination.

We bring together global teams assisting in emergencies—or supporting those who do—and give them a shared space to find each other, communicate, and plan their efforts collaboratively. Organizations discover each other, chat, share knowledge, and combine efforts to improve crisis response outcomes.

We convene organizations from across the world, including Non‑Governmental Organizations (NGOs), government agencies, volunteer networks, and local community groups into a single, diverse online chat environment called Aid Arena, hosted in Slack.

We also provide advanced technologies to help member teams connect to resources, knowledge, and partnerships in real time.

Benefits of Volunteering

Gain new skills or deepen existing expertise in areas such as UX strategy, technical web development, accessibility, SEO optimization, brand systems, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Broaden your global perspective while contributing to meaningful, mission‑driven work that supports crisis responders worldwide.

You’ll collaborate with a passionate, purpose‑driven team improving disaster response through innovation and coordination. Your work will directly support humanitarian efforts happening right now by helping responders find the resources and partnerships they need to save lives.

You will build a network of like‑minded professionals committed to global impact, strengthen your portfolio with strategic mission‑driven work, and demonstrate leadership through service. This is an opportunity to use your talents for good—and make a measurable difference.

Role Summary

The Volunteer Web Designer plays a key strategic role in supporting Conversa Corps Inc.’s humanitarian mission by designing, developing, and enhancing the organization’s digital presence.

The ideal volunteer combines strong UX/UI design expertise with hands‑on front‑end development skills, understands SEO and accessibility standards, and thrives in a collaborative, remote environment.
