What You'll Do
- Lead residential design projects including custom homes, additions, and remodeling projects from concept through construction.
- Guide clients through the design process, helping them translate ideas into practical and inspiring solutions.
- Develop architectural drawings, construction documents, and 3D presentations.
- Collaborate with in‑house construction professionals, trusted consultants, and our team of subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Balance design goals, budgets, schedules, and construction requirements while maintaining client satisfaction.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior designers and team members.
- Participate in project planning, problem‑solving, and quality review throughout all phases of work.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of residential architectural design experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating custom homes, additions, and remodeling projects.
- Experience leading projects from initial client meetings through construction completion.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Proficiency with architectural CAD/BIM and 3D modeling software.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Architectural licensure or active pursuit of licensure.
- Experience mentoring or leading design team members.
- Familiarity with Wisconsin residential codes and residential construction practices.
- Experience with Vectorworks or similar software.
- Lead meaningful residential projects from concept through construction.
- Work in a collaborative design‑build environment where designers and builders work together to achieve exceptional results.
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with clients and help bring their vision to life.
- Mentor talented team members and contribute to the growth of our design practice.
