Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re looking for a Fire Protection Designer who is ready to take on more complex projects and more ownership. You’ll grow into a bigger scope, deeper client relationships, and eventually a leadership path if that’s your direction.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design fire protection systems in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and HydraLIST, taking on projects with real complexity.
  • Build hydraulic calculations and job specifications that hold up.
  • Keep projects on track and on timeline, working independently more than you have before.
  • Partner with Project Managers on cost estimation, budgets, and margins.
  • Get out to job sites to scope projects from the ground up.
  • Solve design problems as they come up, because they always do.
  • Lead coordination meetings, sometimes solo.
  • Mentor our Fire Protection Designer I team members when they’ve got questions.
  • Be a go‑to resource for our Sprinkler Fitters in the field.
Our Culture

We believe in being humble, hungry, and smart— not just as a poster on the wall, but as how we actually work. Humble enough to ask questions and take feedback. Hungry enough to push for the next challenge. Smart enough to read a room and know how to work well with people.

Our core values guide everything we do:

  • Customer Focused
  • Excellence
  • Family
  • Forward Thinking
  • Giving Back
  • Work Hard, Play Hard
Requirements
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Design, Architectural Design, Mechanical Design, Interior Design, or a related field (not required if your experience speaks for itself).
  • 1 to 3 years of fire protection system design experience minimum.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • NICET Level II certification, or a willingness to obtain it while employed in the role, is a plus.
  • A working knowledge of NFPA standards, building and fire codes, and building materials is a plus.
  • Hands‑on experience with HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and HydraLIST is a plus.
  • Experience working with Project Managers on estimates is a plus.
  • Experience supporting Sprinkler Fitters in the field is a plus.
  • Experience leading coordination meetings is a plus.
Benefits
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
  • Short Term & Long Term Disability
  • Training & Development
  • Wellness Resources
