The Department of Art History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a creative, dynamic scholar to serve as the Howard and Ellen Louise Schwartz Visiting Assistant Professor in the History of Contemporary Architecture. This is a two-year position ), with the potential to renew for a third year ) pending successful review. Thematic focus, methodological approach, and geographic area of specialization are open, but the department has a particular interest in architectural historians with a trans-national, cross-cultural, and global focus.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in teaching and research in Contemporary Architectural History. The position comes with a reduced teaching load of 2-1 per year.

Compensation: The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 up to $76,000 for highly experienced candidates. Actual pay within this range will depend on experience and qualifications.
