Please note that any teacher who starts at MMSD on or after February 3, 2026, will be hired for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year as an extended long-term substitute. This has no impact on pay, benefits eligibility, or working conditions.
Should a teacher hired during this time wish to pursue employment with MMSD for the 2026-27 school year, they will need to apply for a 2026-27 position on or after April 3, 2026.

Position OverviewUnder the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Student Supports, this position will serve as a School Psychologist at the district level to allow for flexible coverage of needs in individual buildings to cover any staffing shortages (e.g., leaves, vacancies). This position will also be directed to support district-wide evaluations, including MMSD school‑based, Private and Parochial, Early Childhood, or Innovative + Alternative Education evaluations.
This position will have a high degree of integrity, sustain a culture of continuous improvement, and be committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment while having a growth mindset to a multi‑faceted operation while having a focus on creating a positive work culture.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
- Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations across assigned schools, including administration, scoring, and interpretation of cognitive, academic, adaptive, social, emotional, and behavioral assessments.
- Complete Section 504 evaluations and support case management needs as assigned.
- Provide social, emotional, and behavioral interventions aligned to student needs (e.g., support students through individual or small‑group skill building, problem‑solving, and progress monitoring).
- Facilitate or participate in student‑level problem‑solving meetings.
- Lead or support data collection and analysis activities (e.g., universal SEL screening, functional behavioral assessment, violence risk assessment, suicide risk assessment).
