Coordinator of Family Discipleship

Responsibilities

• Organize parish-wide faith formation, including large group faith activities, small groups, retreats, and sacramental preparation.
• Lead weekly staff formation and weekly Evangelization Team meetings.
• Hold weekly 1:1 meetings with the Director of Mission and Discipleship.
• Collaborate with the Evangelization Team on evangelization initiatives.
• Facilitate Family of Faith events.
• Recruit and support parish leaders and facilitators or catechists for faith formation.
• Assist in preparation and facilitation of retreats and rehearsals for parents of those seeking sacraments.
• Assist with preparation for and celebration of sacraments.
• Develop curriculum, catechetical materials, calendar, and programming for facilitators or catechists.
• Assist with evaluation of evangelization efforts to develop and implement improvements.
• Review and update registration forms and assist with registration process and updating of families.
• Attend yearly retreat.

• High School degree or GED.
• Spanish fluency.
• Either 5 years of experience in weekly volunteer evangelization or catechesis, or 1 year of professional evangelization or catechesis.
