- Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback to students
- Summarize student responses from assignments and surveys to inform instructional adjustments
- Current graduate student at UW‑Madison, with eligibility restrictions for May 2026 graduates
- Minimum of one semester of teaching assistant or teaching experience
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field
- Ability to commit to a 64.5% Teaching Assistant appointment during the course duration
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior TA or teaching experience specifically with first‑year students
- Familiarity with active learning approaches and teaching in an active learning classroom
- Experience in creating interactive and engaging learning environments
